Biography[]

1895[]

Julius and his family met Albert Einstein, during his temporary stay at their household in Aarau, Switzerland while studying for his Zurich Polytechnic entrance exam. Julius often partook in many of his family's conversations and debates at the dinner table and encouraged Albert to join in on multiple occasions.

1896[]

After Albert passes his entrance exam at Zurich Polytechnic, he moves out of the Winteler household, where he continues pursuing his studies at Zurich Polytechnic.

1897[]

Julius joins his family, with Albert, Maja, and Albert's friend Michele Besso, as they celebrate his sister Marie's birthday. Julius listens in as his father Jost celebrates Albert and Marie's companionship and relationship to the Winteler family, as well as thanking Albert for bringing Besso over to the celebration party.

Later, Julius and his siblings say goodbye to Einstein and Besso as they head back to Zurich for their studies.

1906[]

After Albert Einstein ended his relationship with Julius' sister Marie, Julius began to develop a sense of paranoia, as well as a sense of hatred towards Einstein. When Besso was offered a job provided by Einstein, Julius described Einstein as a swine, and told Besso to watch his walls, in fear that the devil may be watching.

When Julius' paranoia reached a breaking point, he pulled out a gun and pointed it at his mother Pauline, who was shot in the chest and died shortly afterwards. While doing so Julius yelled out "Death to Satan's messengers", and shortly afterwards, pointed a gun towards his head and killed himself in front of both his father and sister.
