Walther Rathenau is a recurring character on the first season of Genius. He was, before his assasination in 1922, a German statesman who served as Foreign Minister during the Weimar Republic.
He is portrayed by Henry Goodman.
On June 24, Walther Rathenau, the Foreign Minister for the Weimar Republic, leaves his house for the Reichstag. His car is followed by another containing two men who stop Rathenau on the road. For "ruining Germany" the two assassins shoot the minister and blow up his car with a grenade for good measure.
In his legacy, Germany orders a national holiday to be established in the commemoration of his death.
